Our Mission

Empowering youth across Metro Vancouver and British Columbia to protect the coast, forests, and waters they call home.

Coast and Cedar Youth Society is a youth-led nonprofit society dedicated to environmental stewardship and conservation across British Columbia. We create hands-on volunteer opportunities that connect young people with local community organizations, businesses, and conservation groups working to protect the natural environment — from coastal and marine areas to rivers, lakes, streams, watersheds, and forests.

Connect

We build partnerships with local conservation groups, community organizations, and businesses to create real volunteer opportunities for youth.

Protect

Our volunteers take part in restoration and preservation work across BC's coastal and marine areas, rivers, lakes, streams, watersheds, and forests.

Learn

We provide hands-on environmental training and leadership development that builds practical skills and environmental knowledge.

Grow

We foster environmental responsibility and community engagement that lasts well beyond a single volunteer day.
